James Linnell is a writer, teacher, and director. He received his graduate training at University of California, Berkeley (Ph.D. Directing). He teaches in the Department of Theatre & Dance at the University of New Mexico (UNM).〔(【引用サイトリンク】title=Full-Time Faculty )〕 His work has been performed in New Mexico and abroad in Mexico, Australia, New Zealand, and Israel. He helped establish the MFA degree in Dramatic Writing at UNM and the annual Words Afire Festival of new plays. He is currently Interim Dean of the College of Fine Arts at UNM.
